About the lecturer:

Mohamed El-Hawary’s experiences extends for more than 20 years; in journalism, digital media, TV production, media management, podcasting, science journalism, content management, training, mentoring and coaching, media consultation, communication and image making consultation.

During his contributions in the fields above; he gained multiple experiences, backgrounds and skills, that driven him in his journey to conduct dozens of stories, interviews, in-depth reports, TV shows, videos and podcasts, In Egypt and abroad.

Mohamed is the editor in chief of Al-Fanar Media (UK), the prominent bilingual website covering higher education, research arts and culture in the Arab world. And he is the Media Value Creation Manager in Business Hub Company (UK).

With his wide expertise in managing integrated newsrooms; Mohamed is editor on duty of Al-Masry Al-Youm in Egypt, he leads professional teams and task forces to produce TV and digital content.

El-Hawary established TV production and multimedia units, podcasts unit at Al-Masry Al-Youm in Egypt, and Al-Masry Lite (Entertainment website).

As a TV producer for more than 10 years; El-Hawary worked as a script writer, managing editor and editor in chief in Egyptian and Pan-Arab TV stations, where he produced and managed professional teams to produce talk shows, social, political and morning talk shows, in addition to news bulletin.

Mohamed has his own social podcast «Matiza’lsh»; about relations and work environment, on PodU. He also presented some episodes in Friendly Space Podcast, produced by Care International Egypt.

El-Hawary is a member of the Arab Science Journalists Association, and conducted several stories to some distinguished platforms; such as SCIDEV and Scientific American. He covered National, Arab and International events related to environment, health and security, such as the Nuclear Security Summit, The Hague, 2014.

For more than 10 years, Mohamed delivered and designed dozens of courses, workshops and training programs. His capacity building services helped in supporting and upskilling hundreds of journalists in Egypt and the Arab world. Where he delivered training programs to Deutsche Welle Akademie, GIZ and Free Press Unlimited. In addition to his contributions in preparing training manuals.

Mohamed is a board member of The International Media and Intercultural Communication Centre, Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University. He gives lectures on media in several Egyptian, Arab and International Universities. recently, he was teaching graduation projects in TV production for postgraduate students, Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University.

El-Hawary provides consultations in content management for individuals, organisations and projects, media organisations restructure, image making for public figures and organisations, and digital content management and development.

Mohamed El-Hawary participating in Arab and International conferences and forums, as a speaker, trainer and expert, recently he was a key speaker in the QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference 2022. He also writes articles and a commentator in several Arab and International TV stations.
